Nigel Pallot isn’t your average business owner. Born with oil on his hands and a toolkit in the pram (probably), he’s been around machinery longer than most of us have been driving it. After years in the construction and plant game, Nigel took the reins at Rays Plant Hire with one simple goal: make hiring kit easier, faster, and a bit more friendly.


He’s the kind of guy who’ll chat diggers over a cuppa, knows the name of every customer’s dog, and still gets stuck in on the yard when things get busy. Whether it’s sourcing the latest gear or making sure deliveries are bang on time, Nigel keeps things running smoother than a freshly oiled excavator.


When he’s not keeping the wheels turning at Rays, you’ll probably find him tinkering with engines, cheering from the sidelines at local rugby, or trying (and usually failing) to have a quiet weekend.
